About the Network
How the Network operates
The NHT Network is a service improvement organisation providing a range of benchmarking services for the Highways & Transport sector, available on a subscription basis to Local Authorities and their delivery partners (see What we do).
The activities of the Network are controlled by the members. Steering Groups define the scope and content of each of the services the Network provides. Each of these steering groups is led by a chairman and comprise practitioners from participating organisations. From time to time, the steering groups form specialist sub-groups to tackle specific projects.
The Network is administered by measure2improve (m2i). m2i is a specialist benchmarking and performance management company. It provides software tools that are used by members to capture and analyse their performance. The Network's website resource gives members access to comparative reports and is used to share case study and practice material across the membership
Members of each individual service are invited to attend regular National and Regional meetings, organised to share practice and experience. Wherever possible the cost of these meetings is covered or subsidised by the subscription fees.
